Absolutely stunning vintage blue zircon solitaire ring. The blue zircon is large and attractive in it's simple and timeless setting. A pristine milgrain beaded edge in white gold protects the zircon edges and adds a bit of interest to this otherwise unadorned setting. The basket beneath the blue zircon is open and the shank is a narrow 18 carat yellow gold which widens slightly at the back centre. Circa mid 20th century.

Blue zircons are impressively difficult for me to take good photos of. It's like the camera wants to look deep into the gemstone. That's great in real life, it's a gorgeous stone, but not so great for a camera.

Blue zircon: old round cut with small open culet, measures approx 10.6 mm and is calculated in setting as 5.9 carats. In very good condition with some minor facet abrasions under very close inspection or with the aid of a loupe.

Marked 18K for 18 carat gold and tested as such.

Size: UK - N; US - 6 3/4; EU - 17.2. This ring cannot be made any smaller. It can be sized several sizes larger. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures 11.35 mm wide and rises approx 7.2 mm tall off the finger.
