Antique diamond solitaire engagement ring. This late Victorian era diamond single stone ring is classic in style. The diamond is set in eight claws with wide sloping shoulders topped in platinum. The old mine cut diamond dates to the late 1800s and is a predecessor to the round brilliant cut. They were cut for a different style of lighting and have higher crowns, smaller tables and open culets. This one is beautifully offset in a simple two-tone mounting. Circa 1880s, British in origin.

Diamond: old mine cut, approx 4.7 mm and calculated in setting as 0.42 carats, J colour, SI2 clarity.

Marked 18ct. This ring is 18 carat gold.

Size: UK - P; US - 7 3/4; EU - 18. This ring can be sized several sizes larger or smaller. Resizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 5.25 mm wide and rises 5.75 mm tall off the finger.

Weighs 1.95 grams.
