Beautiful black opal doublet yellow gold ring. The cabochon cut, oval shaped opal is set in a bezel or rub over setting. The opal is set on a narrow yellow band which contrasts nicely with the colour of the opal. Dates to the early 20th century, likely British in origin.

Marked 18ct for 18 carat gold and tested as such.
