Art Deco diamond engagement ring in a wonderful square shape. A larger single cut diamond is set to the centre in bead claws. Milgrain beading outlines the centre diamond which is framed by a halo of 12 diamonds. The halo is scalloped edge, dipping in and out between the diamonds and softening the square shape. Sloped shoulder are graduated in design with small diamonds set into the top two and an engraved bead in the bottom step. This is a lower profile ring, though it has flat lattice work sides allowing another ring to sit nicely next to it. Circa 1920s, British in origin.
