Lovely Art Deco triple row sapphire and diamond band. A centre row of 16 blue sapphires are channel set in platinum lined with a row of milgrain beading. On either side is a tapered band of single cut diamonds, bead set, within a platinum band. At the end of each row of diamonds is a small engraved beaded shape. This half hoop ring has an engraved scrolling design to the sides.
The top of this ring is Art Deco and was probably a swivel day and night ring. The bands have been soldered together and reshanked with an 18 carat white gold band. Circa Art Deco era, mid 1920s - 1930s, date of conversion unknown.
In very good condition. One end sapphire, slightly smaller in size, might be a replacement.
Diamonds: 26, ranging from 1.2 mm to 1.9 mm to total 0.44 ctw, G / H colour, VS2 / SI1 clarity
Sapphires: 16, square in shape, step cut, approx 2.3 mm by 1.8 mm each with a slightly smaller on of 1.8 mm by 1.8 mm on one end.
Not marked, Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold and platinum. The top half, set with sapphires and diamonds is platinum and bottom half, the plain band, is 18 carat white gold.
Size: UK - P; US - 7.75; EU - 17,9. This ring can be resized between O / 7.25 / 17,5 and Q / 8.25 / 18,3. Sizing available for an additional fee.
Measures approx 8.1 mm wide by 2.1 mm deep, 3 mm at back centre.
Weighs 6.8 grams.
