Art Deco sapphire and diamond engagement ring. This three stone ring features a lovely blue oval cut sapphire flanked by illusion set diamonds. The sapphire is bezel set and lined in very fine and delicate milgrain beading. On either side is a bead set diamond. The diamonds are set into an engraved top designed to make them appear larger than their actual size. The mounting around the diamonds are lined in milgrain beading as well. The three gemstones are set on a slender gold band which tapers near to the stones and widens at the back. Circa 1920s, British in origin.

Sapphire: oval cut, approx 4.7 mm by 3.9 mm and calculated as 0.33 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Diamonds: 2, single cut, approx 0.02 carats total weight.

Stamped 18ct PLAT. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat yellow gold.
