Sapphire & diamond engagement ring dating to the Art Deco era. A deep blue square shaped step cut sapphire is set in the middle of a halo of sparkling diamonds. The small diamonds are bead set and catch the light wonderfully causing little sparkles on the finger. The edges of this ring are scalloped, dipping between each of the diamonds, and are lined in milgrain beading. The blue sapphire in the middle contrasts beautifully with the diamonds. An 18 carat yellow gold D profile shape completes the look. Circa 1920s - 1930s, British in origin.
One side where the band attaches to the top has been reinforced.
