Art deco rock crystal and diamond pendant. A large oblong rock crystal is frosted to the front with an engraved star burst design carved into the back. Set in the centre is a diamond shape lined in a double row of milgrain beading and set with a small single cut diamond. Delicate engraving lines the bezel edge holding the rock crystal. To the top and bottom of this pendant is a filigree floral design.
This piece started it's life as a brooch. We've cut off the pin and added a bail to the top making it wearable for today's woman. Circa 1930s, modern conversion.
Diamond: single cut, approx 1.7 mm or 0.02 carats.
Not hallmarked. The original pin was marked 14k PLAT, but the pin was used in the conversion process. Professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat white gold.
Measures approx 4.7 cm / 1.85 inches long not including the bail by 1.5 cm / 0.59 inches wide.
Weighs 4.1 grams.
