Wonderful deep green emerald and diamond cluster ring dating to the Art Deco era. This platinum ring is set with an emerald cut emerald framed by a diamond halo. The contrast between the deep green of the emerald and diamonds is stunning. Rather unusually the diamond halo is slightly wider in the middle giving this ring a more bubbly and a less sleek look. The platinum shank is about the same width all the way around and comes to a slight taper where it meets the gemstone set top.

This piece looks as though it may have a marriage. The gemstone set top has been attached to a platinum band to make a ring. It makes a good ring which is set low to the finger with the band made to allow a low profile ring to sit snugly next to this ring. Circa 1930s, date of conversion unknown.

Emerald: deep green, emerald cut, approx 4.3 mm by 3.9 mm and estimated in setting as 0.28 carats. This emerald shows inclusions and surface abrasion typical of emeralds.

Diamonds: 10 mixed old cuts, each approx 0.06 carats for a total of 0.60 carats, G / H colour, VS2 - SI2 clarity.

Not hallmarked, tested as platinum.

Size: UK - O 1/2; US - 7 1/2; EU - 17 3/4. This ring can be sized down to L.5 / 6 or made several sizes larger. Sizing available for an additional fee.
