Art Deco sapphire and diamond ring. A centre round cut diamond is bezel set in a white gold setting with four square cut blue sapphire lines spanning out from the diamond. The sapphires make up the middle of what looks like a leaf shape pierced design. Rose cut diamonds set into a petal shape dot the sapphire and diamond top of this ring.

This ring has been converted, we're not sure what it originally was. A curved frame to fit the finger has been built below the diamond and sapphire top. A 3 mm wide band curves up to look as though it's holding either side of the square top. The gemstone set top dates to the 1920s while the conversion is more modern, post 1970s.

Diamonds: 1 round brilliant, approx 0.05 carats & 18 rose cut diamonds. It looks as though there were originally 20 rose cut diamonds and two spaces where a diamond was has been filled with a faceted bead. The work was done well and only notices on close inspection.

Sapphires: 16, square cut.

Marked 585 for 14 carat gold and tested as such.

Size: UK - L 1/4; US - 6; EU - 16 1/2. This ring can be sized between I.5 / 4.75 and M.5 / 6.5. Sizing is available for an additional fee.

Measures 11.6 mm wide and rises 3.4 mm tall off the finger, band is 3 mm wide.

Weighs 3.45 grams.
