Lovely Art Deco diamond cocktail ring crafted in platinum and white gold. Three old European cut diamonds form a line up the finger, each of these are set in an octagonal shape outlined in milgrain beading. Creating a fanned design on each side of these are further rows of diamonds, graduated in size and ending at a pierced teardrop shape. The diamonds are set into platinum on a tapering white gold band. This ring has a great presence on the finger, a great vintage dinner or cocktail ring. Circa 1920s - 1930s.
Diamonds: 15 total, 0.84 carats together. 3 old European cut diamonds measuring 3.85 mm to 3.9 mm each and calculated as 0.19, 0.18, and 0.20 carats each, to total 0.57 together, H / I colour, VS1 / VS2 clarity. 6 old cut diamonds of approx 2mm each to total 0.18 carats together, H / I colour, S11 to I1 clarity. 6 single cut diamonds of approx 1.5 mm each to total 0.09 carats together, H to J colour, SI2 to I1 clarity.
All weights calculated within the limits of the mounting.
Not marked. The diamond set top tests as platinum and the base of the finger collet and the band as 14 carat gold which is white in colour.
Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,5. The wide curved diamond set top of this ring plus it having been previously reshanked makes it difficult to resize, we'd recommend against resizing.
Measures approx 17.8 mm wide by 4.7 mm deep, 1.45 mm at back centre.
