Antique perpetual calendar dating to the late Victorian era. This fancy pendant has a top section with dates which spins to line up with the bottom where days of the weeks are along the side. If we know today is Sunday 12th then you can determine Thursday is the 16th. Easy peasy...and looks very cool when worn! Circa late 19th century, British in origin.
In excellent condition. It's a bit stiff to turn, not a bad thing, it means it cannot move on it's own, but worth a mention! It's very clearly and deeply hallmarked.
Hallmarked for sterling silver, Birmingham assay office, date letter for 1898.
Measures approx 29.9 cm / 1.20 inches tall not including bail by 2.4 cm / 0.95 inches wide.
Weighs 6.6 grams.
