Antique Victorian pierced design sterling silver book chain. A delicate slightly floral looking design is pierced into puffed oval shaped links. Wider flat scalloped edge links connect these together. The design is the same on both sides making this silver necklace reversible. It secures with an oversized bolt clasp which can be worn to the front to display a pendant or locket, or worn to the back. Circa late Victorian, 1880 - 1900, British in origin.
