Victorian 9ct lion fob set with a large amethyst gemstone. This 19th century piece is crafted with a lion stood on top of a stylish arched bridge. Set into the bottom is a faceted amethyst in a cushion shape. The lion is wonderfully detailed with a long mane and it's tail curling around it's body. The base is engraved with a foliate design. Circa mid 1800s, British in origin.
Amethyst: faceted cushion cut, approx 15 mm by 12.25 mm.
Stamped 9ct on the top of the base, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.
Measures approx 2.89 cm / 1.14 inches tall including bail and base is approx 1.9 cm / 0.75 inches by 1.66 cm / 0.65 inches.
Weighs 6.5 grams.
