Antique Victorian engraved sterling silver book chain. This chain features wide lightly domed links engraved with an ivy leaf design. Wider links connect the ivy links and these wider links have a curved edge and look very elegant when worn. The back side of the links are not engraved and this chain could be worn that face up if you wanted a different look. This chain secures with a large spring bolt style clasp which would traditionally be worn to the front to display a large pendant or locket. The clasp could also easily be worn to the back. Circa late Victorian, 1880s - 1910, British in origin.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as sterling silver.

Measures 45 cm / 17.75 inches end to end by 14.7 mm wide.
