Incredible antique earrings crafted in 9 carat gold. These dangle earrings are teardrop in shape. The outer edge slopes outward and are decorated with graduated beadwork down their sides. At the bottom is an ornate pierced filigree design. In the centre is a pear shape which is faceted and catches the light, like a disco ball. This pear is secured at the top and swings within the outer edge. At the base of the ear wires is a faceted half sphere and these earrings are articulated where this connects to the teardrop shape. Circa late Victorian era, 19th century, 1880s - 1900.

In very good condition with minor marks in keeping with their age and use.

Not hallmarked, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout.

Measure approx 48 mm / 1.9 inches in length by 16.2 mm / 0.64 inches wide.

Weigh 3.9 grams together, approx 1.9 - 2 grams each.
