Antique chunky sterling silver double Albert chain. This watch chain dates to the early 20th century. It's designed with two matching sections with a dog clip on each end and a t-bar in the centre. Each matching half has very slightly graduated links which are narrower toward the ends and centre and wider in the middle. While this piece was originally made for a man's pocket watch, it's long enough to wear as a chain necklace, making it very wearable for the modern woman. The dog clips are useful to adding charms and pendants. Dates to the turn of the 20th century.

Three complete sets of hallmarks, 1 on the t-bar, and 1 on each of the 2 dog clips. Each curb link also stamped with the lion passant. Assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1913.

Measures approx 42.5 cm / 16.75 inches wearable length. T-bar drops approx 3 cm / 1.2 inch. Curb links are 7.15 mm to 7.35 mm wide.

Weighs 55.8 grams.
