Antique sapphire and diamond ring dating to the early 20th century. A royal blue oval cut sapphire is bezel set into a platinum top. Framing the sapphire is a halo of eight cut diamonds, each bead set and lined in milgrain beading. The gemstone top sits on a narrow 18 carat yellow gold band which is topped with platinum on the shoulders. This ring dates to the early 20th century, 1900 - 1915, and is British in origin.

Sapphire: blue in colour, oval cut. Measures approx 3.8 mm by 2.6 mm.

Diamonds: 8, eight cut / single cut, approx 0.08 carats total weight.

Stamped PLAT 18ct. This ring is tested and assessed as mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the diamonds set into a platinum top.
