Antique sapphire and diamond cluster ring in the shape of a flower. A lovely bright blue sapphire is bead set with eight old cut diamonds in a floral style setting. Beading frames the sapphire giving this ring an extra sparkly look when the little engraved beads catch the light. The diamonds are small old European cuts and with the aide of a loupe, the open culets can be seen. Milgrain beading lines the outer top edge of this ring. The daisy flower design is perched on a very narrow band which widens slightly at the back centre. Circa 1900 - 1910, British in origin.

Sapphire: round cut, approx 3.3 mm. The culet (pointed tip at the bottom of the gemstone) has a small chip which can be seen with magnification.

Diamonds: 8, old cut, approx 0.14 ctw.

Stamped 18ct & PT. This ring is tested and assessed as mostly 18 carat yellow gold with the gemstones set into a platinum top.
