Victorian three stone ruby and diamond ring. An eye catching oval ruby is set into the top of the this 18 carat gold ring. Flanking the ruby are old mine cut diamonds. The three gemstones are each set in square shaped mounting and taper across the finger. From the underside, curved u shapes just peak out, slightly visible from the top view. The band continues to taper as it rounds the finger, with a double ridged design engraved right between the finger. We like this ring paired with a plain wedding band to create a lovely, classic late Victorian wedding set. Circa 1890s, British in origin.

Ruby: red in colour, slightly oval in shape, approx 3.3 mm by 2.9 mm.

Diamonds: 2, old mine cut, approx 2.2 mm each to total 0.07 carats together.

Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1889.
