Antique dog seal crafted in gold tone metal. This little seal has a hunting dog, maybe a type of pointer or setter, doing it's pointing pose on a bloodstone base. The dog, shown in a field, is elegant and well carved. To the top is a ridge design with a swirled shape handle, easy to drip for when you need to seal your letters. A loop at the top allows a chain or charm holder to be threaded through so that this can easily be worn as a pendant. Circa mid 19th century, late Georgian to early Victorian.
In good condition with general age related wear to the stone and metal.
