French antique paste drop earrings. These are beautiful drop earrings are set with two pairs of clear glass paste. The smallest accent the base of the ear wire, which clips in behind it. The largest are set into a flared rex or crown style setting. The claws holding the paste alternate with a pierced club style design. Circa turn of the 20th century, French in origin.

One of the earrings has been repaired with the bottom ear wire reattached to the base of the paste. As is typical for this style, they are a bit tricky to get on. They go through the back side of the ear piercing and fasten at the front.

Paste: 4. Bottom are old cut cushion shape, each measuring approx 5.7 mm. This would be approx the size of a 0.75 carat diamond if they were diamonds. Top are approx 1.5 mm. They show age appropriate girdle and facet wear.

French eagle's head on one. The other has been repaired at the spot and the marking lost. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold throughout.

Measure 1.82 cm / 0.72 inches drop and approx 9 mm wide.
