Antique paste conversion earrings. These simple paste drops started their lives as another piece and have been converted to earrings. The paste are a beautiful cushion cut shape and are bezel set into a gilt metal. Accenting the top where the paste connect to the ear wires is a half dome. These earrings are simple kidney style pierced hooks. The paste date to the early 1800s, date of conversion unknown.

The backs of these earrings hint that they were likely converted from another piece at some point. This matched pair makes excellent earrings which look nothing short of fabulous on! Circa late 19th century.

Paste: 2, old cut cushion shape, each measuring approx 7.5 mm.

Not marked, gilt metal.

Measure approx 2.2 cm / 0.86 inches drop by 7.8 mm wide.
