Lovely wide 9 carat rose gold antique wedding ring dating to the early 20th century. This Edwardian wedding band is a chunky one at over 6 mm wide! Engraved ivy leaves form a continuous pattern around the exterior of this lightly domed ring. Victorians and Edwardian were very into their symbolism and ivy leaves symbolises clinging, as in I cling to thee, a sweet sentiment as a wedding ring or anniversary gift. The leaf pattern is bold and stylised making it clear and visible. This ring is dated for 1908 to the interior making it 115 years old, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1908. The gold is rose in colour.

Size: UK - L.5; US - 6; EU - 16,5. Sizes taken from centre, wider rings might require a slightly larger size than narrower ring depending on the shape of the wearer's finger. This ring can be sized to K / 5.25 / 15,8 without disruption to the pattern. Sizing available for additional fee.
