Victorian gilt metal long guard chain. This late 19th century long chain necklace is designed as bold chunky links spaced along a belcher link chain necklace. The chunky links are tapered in shape, widest at the top and tapering to the ends. These links are pierced all the way through in a lovely design. One of the terminating ends of this chain is attached to a larger jump ring and the other end of a swivelling dog clip. Circa late 19th century.

Measures approx 127 cm / 50 inches long and 5.15 mm wide at fancy links and 3.25 mm at belcher link.
