Beautiful antique old mine cut diamond five stone ring dating to the early 20th century. Five diamonds are pave set set in a platinum top. The rim around the edges slope down toward the diamond creating an illusion style protective frame. The five diamonds are graduated in size with milgrain beading around the edges. Under the diamonds, the gallery is intricately carved and engraved in a scroll style design. A narrow tapered 18 carat yellow gold band which widens at the back completes the look. Circa 1890s - 1900s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 5, old mine cut. Approx 1.85 mm, 2 mm, 2.4 mm, 2 mm, and 1.85 mm. Estimated in setting as 0.16 carats, H / I colour, SI2 / I1 clarity.

Marked PLAT 18ct. This ring is 18 carat yellow gold with the bezel edges in platinum.
