Antique sterling silver commemorative medal dating to the Edwardian era. This heavy pendant is design with a raised shield shape. Laurel leaves frame the pointed bottom and with ribbons swirling around the top. The front plaque is blank and the back is engraved with a personal inscription reading "T. Foot 1937". The engraving dates later than the hallmark.
Fully hallmarked on the back of the medal for sterling silver, assayed in Birmingham, date letter c for 1902. Chain stamped 925.
Pendant measures approx 3.2 cm / 1.43 inches by 2.7 cm / 1.05 inches. Modern chain is adjustable at 18 inches and 20 inches.
Weighs 11.85 grams.
