SOLD. Sorry, this item has sold.

Antique 9 carat gold heart shaped clasp charm. This heart is designed in a lock style shape. The front is intricately engraved with bold foliage and ivy leaves trailing across it. The back has a nice clear hallmark dating this piece to 1906. A top loop clicks into place, allowing this heart to be secured to an item and there is small loop between the heart's lobes which would have originally attached to a safety chain. The clasp is tight and holds well. This versatile piece can be worn as a charm, clasp or pendant. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.

In good condition with clear hallmarks. There is some slightly thinning to the side of the top loop indicting this was probably originally worn on a bracelet and has simply rubbed there during it's nearly 120 years of life. This listing is for the heart padlock only, all other items shown are available separately.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1906. The gold is a lightly rose, warm colour. There's a maker's mark of G.K.L.

Measures approx 21.15 mm / 0.85 inches not including the top jump ring, by 14.1 mm / 0.55 inches wide, by 3.35 mm / 0.13 inches deep.

Weighs 2.6 grams.

Yep, I have sunscreen on my top. No, I didn't notice before I took the photo. Yes, I will change and retake the photo over the next couple of days.
