Antique old cut diamond double row ring. This Victorian piece is wonderful! Eight old mine cut diamonds are set into a low profile band. The diamonds, hand cut as they were back then, are very sparkly, glitter bombs. They're slightly irregular in shape and size with very steep crowns, the tiniest of tables, and larger open culets. The diamond are all a perfect fit and it looks though the ring has been made around them. On each shoulder is a little engraved flourish leading to a plain gold D shape profile shank. The diamond cover most of the top of the finger and this ring is very low in profile making it easy to wear. Circa 1870s - 1880s, British in origin.

Diamonds: 8, old mine cut. 4 at approx 2.4 mm, 0.06 carat each, and 4 at approx 2.8 mm, 0.09 carat each. Total 0.60 carats, G - I colour, VS1 - SI2 clarity as calculated within the limits of the mounting.

Partial hallmarks for 18 carat gold, this ring has been resized or reshanked and the hallmarks partially lost. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold, which is yellow in colour.

Size: UK - Q; US - 8.25; EU - 18,2. This ring can be sized between N / 6.75 / 17,1 and T / 9.5 / 19,4. Sizing available for an additional fee.
