Antique coiled snake banded agate and diamond ring. What a happy little chappy! This serpent looks pleased with his huge banded agate prize. He wraps fully around the gemstone with his tail curled around the base of his head. Little roughly cut diamonds create sparkles in his eyes. The banded agate is bezel / rub over set. It's been converted from another piece with a shank added to make a ring. On the finger this piece is substantial, spanning most of the space from knuckle to knuckle. The agate is sleek and shiny with a domed black top and rimmed in white around the edge. Circa mid to late 19th century, date of conversion unknown.

Stamped 18ct inside band. Professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold throughout.

Size approx: UK - Q.5; US - 8.5; EU - 18,5. The size is approximate because the inside of this ring isn't round (flat under snake) so it cannot be accurately measured on a ring mandrel. Size taken using the internal mm and averaging. Can be sized between L.5 / 6 / 16,5 and U.5 / 10 / 19,7. Sizing available for an additional fee.

Measures approx 23 mm tall by 17 mm wide by 7 mm deep on top, 2.95 mm band.
