Edwardian carnelian drop earrings. Long teardrop shaped orange-red chalcedony gemstones are suspended from gold chains. The natural stones show some colour banding of lighter and darker colours swirling together. These earrings secure with a simple pierced hook ear wire which have a catch for additional safety. Circa 1900s - 1910s.

Carnelian: measures approx 3.5 cm / 1.37 inches long and are approx 7.5 mm at widest point.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 14 carat gold.
