Sweet cornflower blue sapphire pendant. This sapphire is the most stunning colour! It's a paler blue, very bright, and when worn it turns a bit darker as you'd expected. The sapphire is square in shape and step cut, set in a slender bezel which is lined in milgrain beading. This piece came to us as a pin and we've used the pin section to create a matching bail. Circa early 20th century sapphire and mounting, modern conversion.

Sapphire: square shape, step cut, approx 4.7 mm across, flat side to flat side, and calculated as 0.45 carats within the limits of the mounting.

Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 15 carat gold, which is rose in colour, with a platinum bezel rim.

Measures approx 9.5 mm tall not including the bail by 7.6 mm wide.

Weighs 0.4 grams.
