Keeping on with the birthstone theme, we have some small antique gemstone charms or pendants we've recently converted. These little cushion cut gemstones are set in 18 carat gold, a cross between rose and yellow gold, and were probably originally part of something like a fringe necklace. Found in our stash were 6 which we've added a bail or hooks to to make them wearable pieces. Circa 19th century gemstone and bezel, modern bail or ear wires.
Antique cushion cut blue sapphire set in 18 carat gold. This Victorian sweetie is a gorgeous shade of blue. A more highly saturated on one side than on the other though that's noticeable when worn. A sleek and simple bezel set holds the gemstone in place. Circa mid to late 19th century.
Sapphire: elongated cushion in shape measuring approx 7.6 mm by 6.5 mm. There is some facet wear. Please be aware that this piece has an open culet so the bottom of the gemstone will touch the skin.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold, as cross between yellow and rose gold.
Entire piece measures approx 17.5 mm / 0.70 inches tall including the bail, by 6.9 mm wide.
Sold without a chain.
