Early 20th century 15 carat gold pendant set with amethyst and cultured pearls. This necklace features a slender trace chain with an attached drop pendant. Both sides of the chain are connected to a bezel set royal purple amethyst framed by a gold halo. A teardrop shape contains a single cultured seed pearl with a set of cultured pearl set leaf shapes at the bottom. A stunning pear shape bezel set amethyst is framed by an oval shaped gold surround. Circa 1900s - 1910s, British in origin.

Amethyst: large pear approx 9.1 mm by 5.2 mm and smaller round approx approx 4.6 mm.

Pearls: cultured, 3, approx 1.8 mm each.

Base of pendant marked 15ct and tested as 15 carat gold throughout.

Measures 41.5 cm / 16.33 inches long and the drop is approx 4.2 cm / 1.65 inches long.

Weighs 3.3 grams.
