SOLD. Sorry, this item has sold.

Antique diamond initial A necklace dating to the late Victorian era. The large A is Gothic in style and set with nine small roughly shaped rose cut diamonds. The A is lined in milgrain beading and held in a white enamel square. Circa late 19th century, approx 1870s - 1880s, modern conversion.

In good condition. There is a shallow chip to the top left (when looking at it) corner of the white enamel. We've added a modern silver chain, it could easily be removed should you want to restore the piece to it's original purpose, a slide on a Victorian ribbon to be worn as a choker or bracelet.

Not marked. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat rose gold and silver. The gold can be seen from the back and this pendant is topped in silver which was common during the Victorian era before platinum was used. We've used a silver chain so that it matches, making this piece all white from the top.

Frame around the A measures approx 14.25 mm / 0.56 inches tall by 15.1 mm / 0.60 inches wide. Silver chain can be worn at 18.5 inches or 20.5 inches.

Weighs 3.8 grams.
