Small antique 9 rose carat gold safety pin. This classic 9k gold safety pin is made from heavier gauge 1.2 mm rounded wire. It's an older style which is sprung at one end to allow it to catch in it's clasp and secure the sharp end. Antique safety pins have a variety of modern uses from being a simple brooch to securing a scarf or shawl, or they look very sharp on the collar of a suit. Their most common modern use is as a chain extender or charm or pendant holder. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.
Stamped 9ct, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is rose in colour.
