Antique fancy link chain dating to the late 19th century. This chain is beautifully designed. Rounded rolo links are ridged in the centre and separate four larger, puffed, faceted beads. Both terminating ends of the chain attach to a large jump ring from which is a larger dog clip. This chain does not open, it slips over the head, and hangs down to about the elbows. Pendants or charms can be secured on the dog clip. If you prefer a shorted chain, the opening of the dog clip is large enough to allow for it to be carefully placed over the chain to allow it to be worn doubled. Alternatively, we can alter it, adding a jump ring, to allow it to be opened. Circa late Victorian, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold on it's dog clip, professionally tested and assessed throughout.

Measures approx 90 cm / 35.5 inches total length, 45 cm / 17.75 inches doubled. 3.3 mm wide at round links, 5.1 mm at faceted beads.

Weighs 10.3 grams.
