Antique oblong link chain necklace dating to the early 20th century. This chain is formed of elongated trombone links alternating with a single love knot link. At one end is a large dog clip and the other end is a large spring bold clasp. The clasps can be worn to the back so this is a simple chain necklace, or to the front with the clasps uses to hang charms or pendants. This is a pretty and bold style link which would look worn as a choker or doubled as a bracelet. Circa 1890s - 1910s, British in origin.

Hallmarked for 9 carat gold on the dog clip with stamps of 9, 375 on each of the oblong links. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout. The gold is rosy in colour as most English Victorian gold tends to be.

Measures approx 40.5 cm / 16 inches in wearable length.
