Victorian 9k long gold guard chain. This long chain is a simple, lightly faceted link with a more elaborate intertwined double oval link spaced around the chain. On one end is a 9 carat gold dog clip and on the other is a jump ring which allows for this chain to be opened or attached to another piece, such as a watch. The length is long enough to be comfortably worn doubled around the neck or tripled if worn as a choker. Circa late 1800s, British in origin.

Stamped 9ct on a tag near the end, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold throughout. This piece is a rosy tone as is typical of Victorian gold.

Measures approx 114 cm / 45 inches long, and is approx 4.25 mm wide at widest point.
