Antique 9 carat gold heart locket. A classic and well defined puffed heart locket set with a single rose cut diamond in the centre. The chunky rose cut diamond is set into a hand engraved starburst design. This locket is a good size, large enough to wear alone and hold good sized photos. The area around the star is plain and shiny, a nice warm rose colour. Circa late 19th century, British in origin.

In very good condition with a couple of minor marks in keeping with age and use. The interior contains two original photos.

Diamond: rose cut, approx 1.9 mm.

Stamped 9ct, rubbed a bit. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is between modern yellow and rose gold.

Measures approx 22 mm / 0.86 inches tall not including bail by 18.1 mm / 0.71 inches wide by 8.25 mm / 0.33 inches deep.

Weighs 3.7 grams.
