Antique 9 carat gold safety pin. This simple 9k gold safety pin is made from heavier gauge 1.2 mm rounded wire. It's an older style which is sprung at one end to allow it to catch in it's clasp and secure the sharp end. Antique safety pins have a variety of modern uses from being a simple brooch to securing a shawl or scarf (perfect for those winter months!) or on the end of a chain to lengthen it and give a place to secure charms. Circa early 20th century, British in origin.

Stamped 9ct, professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold, which is yellow in colour.

Measures approx 35 mm / 1.35 inches long by 6.6 mm / 0.26 inches tall.
