Great antique 9 carat gold curb link chain ring. This ring started it's life as a short watch chain from which we've made a couple of pieces, using every link. The curb link is heavy with the gauge of the wires forming the links measuring right at 1.8 mm. This ring graduates very slightly in width, 5.9 mm to 6.3 mm. It's flexibility makes it very easy to wear. Circa late Victorian chain, modern conversion.
In very good condition, minor wear in keeping with age. Where two rings are shown, this is the ring on the right hand side of the photo.
Each little curb link is stamped 9 375. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat gold. The colour is rose in colour though not nearly as red as modern rose gold.
Size: UK - Q; US - 8.25; EU - 18,3. Sizes taken from the centre. I find that the flexibility of this style of ring means it hugs the finger (which isn't round like rings are) which means I wear a slightly smaller size, about 0.5 UK size smaller than I normally do.
Measures approx 6.3 mm wide at widest point and tapers slightly to 5.9 mm.
Weighs 7.9 grams - this is a heavier ring.
