Beautiful chunky antique 9 carat gold chain in a bar design. Long bars of gold have been twisted creating a fantastic and unique link. Three small circular links connect each of the bars in a pattern that goes all the way around this chain. This is a sturdy, substantial chain which could comfortably hold large pendant or lockets or it's design is attractive on it's own. One end of this chain terminates at a large dog clip and the other end at a larger jump ring. Circa late 19th century, British in origin.
