Slinky antique 9 carat gold chain dating to the late Victorian to early Edwardian era. This chain is so smooth and slinky. Crafted in the belcher style, each of the links is oval in shape and very lightly faceted to catch the light. One end terminates at a large jump ring and other at an oversize spring bolt clasp. The spring bolt clasp is large enough that it can be worn to the front as a decorative piece with pendants or charms on it. This is a longer chain, hitting about mid-torso on me, and would be easy to layer. It can also be worn as a bracelet, wrapped multiple times around the wrist. Circa late 19th century.

Not marked. Professionally tested and assessed as 9 carat throughout, the gold is rosy in colour.

Measures approx 75 cm / 29,5 inches long by 3.1 mm wide.
