Antique curb link chain necklace dating to the early 20th century. This chain is formed of classic curb links. This double Albert would have originally been worn as a watch chain. At the centre is a t-bar with a large dog clip at one end of the chain and a large jump ring at the other. This chain is a nice, versatile length which could be worn with the t-bar to the front as an adornment, dog clip to the front to secure a pendant, as a watch chain, or a chunky doubled bracelet. Circa early 20th century.
Hallmarked for 9 carat gold on the t-bar with additional partial marks on the dog clip and terminating jump ring. This piece may have been shortened from a longer chain.
Measures approx 46 cm / 18.25 inches end to end. Links measure 5.3 mm wide.
Weighs 36.8 grams.
