Heavy antique 9 carat gold trombone link chain. Long lean open links are joined together with shorter links which are bent into a curved c shape. This is quite a chunky necklace and would be great for a heavier pendant, locket or set of charms. It fastens secures with a barrel clasp. Circa late 19th century.

Marked 9c on a tag near the clasp and tested as 9 carat gold.

Measures 43.5 cm / 17.15 inches long, and approx 4.35 mm at the widest point.

Weighs 6.85 grams.
