Antique graduated sterling silver chain necklace. This lovely chain would have originally been used as men's pocket watch chain and is more commonly used today as a ladies necklace. In the centre is a t-bar with graduated curb links on each side ending in a large non-swivelling dog clip. This piece is on the shorter side making it perfect for a more slender neck or doubled to wear as a bracelet. Circa early 20th century, 1920s, British in origin.
In very good condition. In the photo with 3 chains on the purple background, this the chain on the left hand side. In the photo with 3 chains shown on a hand, this is the chain on the right hand side.
Hallmarked on the dog clips and t-bar, which all are matching with the date letter for 1922 and the maker's mark of B&S for Britton & Sons. Each curb link also stamped with the lion passant for sterling.
Measures approx 36 cm / 14.25 inches wearable length. Curb links are approx 4.2 mm to 5.6 mm wide.
