Antique diamond and sapphire three stone ring. This is a true, classic beauty! Each of the three gemstones are set in a hand engraved star design. The cut, polished metal looking like beams of light coming off the stones. The diamond is set in a centre and is a bit smaller than the side sapphires. Each of the gemstones is held in place with multiple claws which blend nicely with the cut starburst design. The top where the rings is held is domed in shape, rising above the finger is a gentle curve with smooth lines following to a taper at the back. Circa 1910s, British in origin.
Diamond: single cut, approx 2.2 mm, approx 0.04 carats.
Sapphires: 2, round cut, lovely medium cornflower blue in colour, of approx 2.5 mm each.
Hallmarked for 18 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham 1910.
Size: UK - M; US - 6.25; EU - 16,6. This ring can be sized between K.5 / 5.5 / 16,1 and N.5 / 7 / 17,3. Sizing available for an additional fee. Resizing would be done preserving the primary hallmark - metal fineness, assay office and date letter, however the worn maker's mark or catalogue number would need to be sacrificed.
Measures approx 7.75 mm wide by 1.85 mm deep at diamond, tapering to 2.9 mm at back centre.
Weighs 3.4 grams.
