Antique bloodstone seal crafted in 18 carat gold. This is an absolutely incredibly seal! A rectangular shaped bloodstone is carved with a six pointed star around which is engraved "DISTANCE DIMS NOT". The sentiment behind this is simply wonderful. with large ship riding the waves. This is a larger seal which has a heavily engraved top. It's so stunning, the engraving is deep and crisp, shaped like leaves. At the top is a deeply ridged loop through which a chain or dog clip can be threaded to suspend it. Circa early to mid 19th century.
In excellent condition with only the most minor signs of wear under magnification.
Not marked, professionally tested and assessed as 18 carat gold.
Measures approx 27.4 mm / 1.1 inches tall with the base measuring 17.7 mm / 0.70 inches by 15.9 mm / 0.63 inches.
Weighs 7.3 grams.
