Antique 15ct gold locket set with a cultured pearl. This large oval shaped locket dates to the Edwardian era and is softly domed in shape. A large rippled cultured pearls is set into an engraved star design. Inside both frames are present and one of the original glasses to cover photos. Both the frames are hallmarked and the domed shape and texture of the pearl make this a very tactile piece. Circa 1900s, British in origin.

Cultured pearl: approx 4.9 mm.

Hallmarked for 15 carat gold, assayed in Birmingham, date letter for 1905. The gold has a rosy hue as antique gold often does.

Measures approx 3.78 cm / 1.48 inches tall excluding the bail by 2.87 cm / 1.13 inches wide.

Weighs 8.75 grams without the glass.
